We stayed here for a month for our medical elective at Karapitiya hospital.
Ideal location as it is a 20 minute stroll from the hospital, or a 5 minute tuk tuk. Veronica was kind enough to show us the local town and supermarket on our first day here. It was also a short distance from both Galle and Unawatuna.
We really enjoyed it here, and Veronica made us feel very at home. She went out of her way to answer any of our questions and also provided a flexible check in. The accommodation is a beautiful, clean 2 bed private downstairs apartment . The outdoor shower was lovely. Veronica kindly cleaned the apartment once a week and did all of our laundry for the duration of the trip, which was greatly appreciated. We would happily come and stay here again, as we had a great time, and good value for money.
stayed here for a month and wish I could have stayed longer. The host, Veronica lives above the house and is available if you need anything, but the space is very private with its own entrance. She went above and beyond by cleaning weekly, doing my laundry, and even offering to cook for me which I really appreciated. Her English is perfect, so communication was never a problem. She also provided a great list of recommendations for restaurants and shops, and on my first day in Galle she kindly showed me to the store and ATM herself.
The house itself is spacious, clean, and equipped with great Wi-Fi. I loved the decor of the house, it’s the perfect mix of timeless yet modern, has a true Sri Lankan vibe to it which I loved. There’s also a dedicated workspace perfect for digital nomads like myself, and a lovely garden to enjoy. The location is great, about a 10 minute drive from fort centre. I would love to stay again if u get to return to Galle! ☺️
We stayed in an apartment on the ground floor, while the host lived upstairs. Veronika had a separate entrance and didn’t interfere with our stay at all. On the contrary, her presence upstairs added a sense of security. The property is also equipped with security cameras, which is a big advantage.
The apartment is very modern by Sri Lankan standards, fully equipped with high-speed internet, a spacious kitchen, and air conditioning in every bedroom. It truly stands out, as seen in the photos.
Veronika is a highly educated and helpful host who speaks excellent English. She assisted with everything we needed and cleaned weekly, including changing towels, bed linen, and washing our clothes. It was the best service one could ever dream of.
We were very happy with our choice and can confidently recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and modern place to stay in Sri Lanka.
